Primarily, the company is responsible for the transmission and distribution of electrical power throughout Russia, alongside facilitating essential technological connections to its power grids. However, its business activities span a remarkably broad spectrum beyond energy provision. It manages and maintains both electrical and thermal networks, executing design, installation, and adjustment work for metering systems related to electricity, hot and cold water, heat, gas, and various process equipment.

The company also conducts comprehensive power audits, undertakes civil repair, assembly, and specialized installations for gas supply systems. Rosseti Volga extends its reach into hospitality and wellness, operating hotels, sanatoriums, and resorts, and delivering diverse medical, prophylactic, and therapeutic services. This includes organizing recreational activities, sports, cultural events, and children's camps.
